The Canon Digital Photo Professional Express (Canon DPP Express) is a professional-grade iPad/iPhone application designed to enhance and edit RAW images with an intuitive touch interface. To access all the advanced features of the Digital Photo Professional Express, a subscription process must be completed. Subscribing to the app offers several benefits:

Supported Formats

Canon DPP Express supports various formats, including RAW (CR3/CR2), JPEG, and HEIF (10 bit). However, it is important to note that it is not compatible with .CRW or video file formats.

Image Input Options

The app offers two ways to import images:

1. Via Camera Connect: RAW (CR3/CR2), JPEG, HEIF (10 bit). In addition, devices running iOS 12.1 and later can import CR3 files directly from the Camera Roll.
2. From your Camera Roll: RAW (CR3/CR2), JPEG. Please note that image data is saved within the app.

[HDR PQ settings] can be used in conjunction with Canon Camera Connect to import HEIF (10-bit) files and RAW images.

Unfortunately, RAW burst files cannot be directly imported to smart devices. To import them, it is necessary to extract the CR3 images from the RAW burst file using the camera's built-in functionality and then transfer them to the smart device.

Canon DPP Express is compatible with a wide range of Canon camera models for both CR3 and CR2 processing:

Supported Devices

The app is supported on various iPad and iPhone models. For iPads, it is compatible with iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad Air 3rd generation or newer, iPad 5th generation or newer, iPad mini 4, and iPad mini 5. For iPhones, it supports iPhone 7 and newer models including all iPhone SE generations.

System Requirements

To run Canon DPP Express smoothly, your device should be running iOS 15.7 or 16.4 for iPhones and iPads respectively, or later versions.

Important Notes

• Payment for the app's subscription will be charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions by going to your account settings within the App Store.
• If you uninstall the app, all image data imported from your camera will be permanently deleted.
• If the application is not functioning properly, try restarting it.
